Meet Trava's Director of Insurance, Ryan!
In your words, what is your role at Trava.
I lead all things insurance here at Trava. Our product is designed to help agencies better underwrite their customers and to help bring their customers to a better insurance renewal related to their cyber insurance. So that's the department of Trava that I'm working in.
Describe Trava in 3 words.
If I were to describe Trava in three words, I would say laughter, supportive, and genuine.
Where is your happy place?
The first place that comes to mind is the Bahamas. That crystal water, especially right now I'm craving it, but something about being salty and getting a little sunburnt that it makes me extremely happy. So definitely the Bahamas.
If you could give your 13-year-old self advice, what would it be?
If I were to give my 13-year-old self some advice, I would tell him to always retain the spirit of youth.
What is your favorite motivational quote?
I don't know the quote by heart, but I love “The Man in the Arena’ by Theodore Roosevelt.
What has been your favorite project at Trava?
By far, what we're doing in the insurance industry. I mean, it's so cool to see a problem and to work on the solution. I always refer to it as molding clay. We're putting a solution out into the market, and you get feedback, and that is the coolest thing ever whenever you're putting a product out there and then you see people using it, and then you receive feedback and sharpen it up.
Cats or dogs?
I will say, this is a shout-out to my girlfriend's cat Banks. Banks is a phenomenal cat. She's a bengal, and she has completely changed my perspective on cats. So I love dogs, but there's a little bit of love now for cats—just a little bit, just for Banks.
What is your favorite color?
Blue.
